The third and final part of the trilogy about historical events in the Sudetenland, Ústecké vítězství, follows the previous books Ústecká štvanice and Ústecký mír. It describes the climax of World War II in Central Europe – as the war here did not end until 1948. In May 1945, only conventional military operations ceased. This was followed by the invasion of the Revolutionary (or "Rabovacích") Guards into the border regions, cleansing operations against Nazi officials, their concentration in internment camps, the confiscation of German property and its transfer to the administration of the Czech population, which led to significant losses of originally German property referred to as "zašantročením." At the same time, two waves of the expulsion of Germans from Czechoslovakia to the bombed-out German Reich took place: unofficially in late summer 1945 and officially in 1946 under the Potsdam Agreement. Concurrently, a civil war was occurring in Czechoslovakia between political parties, and there was a quiet exclusion of Jews from their post-war property claims. Distrust towards them was also growing – especially if they were Rusyns. The book Ústecké vítězství describes all of this between 1946 and 1948 within the border district of Ústí.
