Description
The story is a personal recollection of the author about events from the May uprising in 1945 to the fateful night of August 20-21, 1968. It is composed of events that the author experienced or learned about from his father's diary, which are typical for that time. It is not excluded that the characters in the story may remind someone of someone else. Yes, it is possible... The story features characters that have their basis in real people. Only the names have been changed. The narrative is filled with individuals who represent behaviors and attitudes that the author encountered. Since the plot takes place in the former North Bohemian region, many will surely recall the realities associated with individual places that no longer exist today or serve different purposes. The book serves as a memento, especially for those who are little aware of the risks that still threaten us today in our gradually 'reddening' republic...
