The writings of David Brainerd reveal the story of God's power and grace among North American Indians through the young preacher who, despite physical weakness, a progressively worsening terminal illness, and nearly unbearable living conditions, brought the gospel to North American Indians with all his might and was allowed to experience a revival among those for whom he sacrificed himself at the end of his short life. The book also includes a brief biography of one of the most significant theologians, Jonathan Edwards, which is also worth reading, along with beautiful illustrations by Aleš Mrázek at the beginning of each chapter.
