A book with a thrilling story that ends with a happy ending, a book about the dictatorship of the letter A. The story of a boy with the number 21868 on his radio takes place in a city where the only correct opinions are symbolized by the letter A. AAAA echoes from the loudspeakers, A is in the city's emblem, on flags, and on the little flags waved by children, it is on banners, and even on every book in the bookstore window, on meal vouchers,... Only the letter A is taught in schools, A penetrates modern architecture, people chant it, it fills the newspapers, and even vision tests are conducted only using the size of the letter A. It is a joke, a threat, a past, an exaggeration, absurdity, and above all, everything together. The hero of the book lives every day in a strange (in details hostile) atmosphere of a gray city. He works in a factory where the only brighter moment of the day is the break for a snack. The young man sits outside behind the factory chimney with a slice of bread. High in the sky, swifts fly freely. The boy dreaming of flying climbs the chimney. In the distance, beyond the walls surrounding the city, we see a completely different landscape, a colorful world.
