Pavel Čech's latest book brings eleven illustrated stories for both young and old readers. Pavel Čech: "When the stories in this book were being created, I didn't know that I would one day compile them together. Most of them were not the result of any commission and were created solely for my own pleasure and out of a desire to capture an idea that knocked on my door. When I recently cleaned out my drawers, I pulled out those half-forgotten pages again. Some of them are several years old, while others were created recently. Each one is different, made with a different technique, varying in length... just like my arrows from childhood. I counted them. There were eleven usable ones. I thought I would finish the remaining one, but when no story came to me, I thought of something else: instead of the planned title 'Dozen', I named the book 'Almost a Dozen.'"
