Part 2 of the workbook Learning Through Play with the Gnome continues from Part 1 and together they complement the textbook Czech Language 2, edition Reading with Understanding. The workbook from the Reading with Understanding edition is a modern teaching material developed in accordance with the RVP ZV, which emphasizes the development of reading literacy. The workbook is primarily used for practicing and reinforcing the material covered in chapters 7-8 of the textbook. It is presented in an entertaining form using activity-based learning methods. You will find excerpts from beautiful literature, fill-in-the-blanks, riddles, puzzles, games, competitions, jokes, exercises for stretching the body, and ideas for group work. The workbook includes a cut-out appendix – cards for manipulative activities and also instructions on how to use them. Exercises suitable for this activity are marked with a hand symbol. In Part 2, cards from Part 1 are also used, especially in exercises where the material from the first semester is repeated and practiced. The workbook is guided by the gnome Kvítek, who rewards students with a corresponding sticker after each review. The stickers are included in the workbook.
