The collection Zpopelněné kopce has launched the third decade of poetry collections published in recent years by the Radix publishing house. The author has been dedicated to poetry for over 60 years, and the bibliography of his published titles includes more than 50 items. Some of his verses also serve as the basis for many song lyrics that the author has written for dozens of our singers (Lucie Bílá – Neposlušné tenisky, Karel Gott, Hana Zagorová, Věra Špinarová, Vítězslav Vávra, etc.). The poet loves music of all genres, especially so-called classical music (Händel, Mozart, Mahler). This is also the theme of some of his poetic works, such as Vodní hudba in honor of G. F. Händel. This latest collection again encompasses a wide lyrical-epic range of themes, characterized by unusual phrases and combinations. The individual poems are marked by full kindness, rhythmic clarity, and a playfulness that the poet never abandons... even death, after all, somewhere told someone that it cheers for life...
