Description
Two plays by a renowned author of several musicals and many song lyrics. ŠEST MUŽŮ JINDŘIŠKY VIII. is a confession of an aging singer who took a very winding path to her dream of singing in a musical. Her direction was often determined by men and historical events, and she tells this to her first love with an irresistible sense of humor. Of course, she illustrates it with songs, chansons from her current performances in a cabaret, or even a couplet and other genres from her journey toward her dream goal. This "one-woman show," never performed before, is a great acting opportunity and an engaging story for readers. NEVĚSTA Z TŮNĚ is actually an opera libretto, which this time is not just one component of the final work, but a work in itself. The long-time dramaturge, director, and author created a Czech "A Midsummer Night's Dream" for composer Radim Smetana, full of ideas, lyricism, wordplay, and fresh verses, making it a shame not to read it.
