Description
The content of the book is the fate of the unpublished history of intelligence parachute drops from 1945 until the establishment of the 22nd Parachute Reconnaissance Company in 1957, and subsequently other special deep reconnaissance units. These units are often considered part of the airborne forces. However, documents testify that from the very beginning, they were special units always subordinate to intelligence agencies. Based on available and newly accessible documentation in historical institutes, the origins and circumstances of the establishment of the first intelligence-diversion units of the Czechoslovak Army immediately after World War II are clarified, including their organization, armament, communication technology, training methods and programs, and descriptions of large exercises with troops. This is the first publication of previously inaccessible materials.
