Description
I had never heard of Maori art in my life, and when it was first offered to me, I actually had no choice. At first, it disgusted me. However, time paved the way for me. The eternally green nature was beautiful and practically forced me to waste the rest of my life in its nooks, just as it wasted its own. Protecting myself from its beautiful tentacles, I initially began with sketches of old carvings. Then I delved deeper. Right there beside me, watching my work, sat an old Maori speaking of the deeds of his ancestor, whose carving I was gazing at. And what deeds they were!
