I didn't plan to write a book after I left the Hell's Angels. After more than three decades as the president of the HA Ventura chapter, a peacemaker, and the club's spokesperson, I was incredibly glad to resign, quietly manage my affairs, be the best husband and father I could, and ride off into motorcycle retirement. I started writing this book, even though I knew I would step on someone's toes, touch someone's feelings. I don't care. I just want this to be an honest and straightforward account of events. The real story, my story, scars, flaws, and everything. Without regret. That means talking about everything I did as a Hell's Angel. I was truly ready to kill for the club, for nothing more than a piece of fabric sewn onto another piece of fabric. That willingness is the price of confession. But I also want to explain what I did outside the club. I was a devoted father, trying to support my children as best as I could.
