Tetování na Borneu – Hose Charles (2014)

Tattooing is widely practiced among the tribes of Borneo. A large variety of patterns are used, which are applied to different parts of the body. A paper presentation of most of the facts discovered so far was published by one of us (C. H.) in collaboration with Mr. R. Shelford, a former curator of the Sarawak Museum, who paid special attention to this subject; we therefore reproduce a larger part of the content of this publication here, with some slight changes, and we want to express our gratitude to Mr. Shelford for his kind permission to use his publication in this way.
