A completely new pocket Russian-Czech and Czech-Russian dictionary, in which you will find commonly used vocabulary of contemporary Russian. You will appreciate it not only while traveling and working but also when studying the language at school or in a language course. It will help you communicate and manage everyday situations, express yourself more accurately, and communicate better. We carefully selected the entries and translations so that you would find the most frequently used words and phrases of contemporary Russian, including literary, technical, and colloquial language. In this regard, the task was not easy, as there are practically no explanatory dictionaries that fully meet the requirement for the currency of vocabulary. We based our work on several Russian explanatory dictionaries, primarily on the dictionary by S. I. Ozhegov and the New Dictionary of the Russian Language by T. F. Efremova, and we drew additional entries and phrases from our own corpus, specialized Russian websites, or contemporary literature. Interest in Russian is increasing every year, also due to the renewal of economic relations with Russia and other countries of the former Soviet Union.
