Description
The frontman of Tři sestry, Lou Fanánek Hagen, is an exceptional personality. Although he claims he never learned to play any instrument properly and can't sing, thousands of people are willing to listen to him. Fanánek is, without exaggeration, a master of words. He has proven this in dozens and hundreds of lyrics – whether written for Tři sestry, Michal David, Lucie Bílá, or the Smurf gang – where he managed to condense a story into a few lines that could fill a short story or novella. In addition to construction, Fanánek also studied journalism, but he never wrote systematically for newspapers. However, he made an exception once when he published serialized stories from his life in the now-forgotten magazine Filip for teenagers. They had an immense response, and in the 1990s, they became the basis for the book Tak to bylo, tak to je..., which became a cult work and now forms the first part of this "omnibus." It took fifteen years for Fanánek to be persuaded to sit down at the computer and write something like a continuation of his successful debut for hungry readers. The second book was titled Járo, kakao! and again became a bestseller. It was only a matter of time before both manuscripts would be published in one book that maps the life journey of the "punk from Prague" from puberty to adulthood.
