Description
Osteopathy was founded at the end of the 19th century by American physician Dr. Andrew Taylor Still. It is based on several simple and generally valid principles, which the founder already formulated in a way that can be taught and learned. The human body is designed to function flawlessly throughout life and maintain its bodily functions – to be healthy. If the organism is not functioning correctly, the osteopath looks for the cause either in the fact that the organism is not equipped with the necessary building blocks or that it is receiving incorrect instructions through the nervous system. The osteopath perceives the causes of diseases through gentle yet deeply effective touches, releases tension and blockages, and thus alleviates various ailments. In the USA, osteopathy is on par with conventional medical school medicine. In Germany and the rest of Europe, we are still gradually getting to know it. With this book, we would like to contribute to a proper understanding of osteopathy and to its increasing application in our country.
