Description
The work focuses on the exploration of the sources of Siberian autonomism, which date back to the late 19th century and are linked to the activities of the Siberian regional movement. The autonomist movement became more pronounced in Siberia after 1917, peaking in 1918 with the declaration of the Provisional Siberian Government. The fall of Admiral A. V. Kolchak's government led to the emigration of representatives of the Siberian autonomist movement, many of whom found refuge in what was then Czechoslovakia. The ideas of Siberian autonomism survived in some form even in the conditions of emigration. This work is based on research of primary materials in Russian and Czech archives. In Czech and Slovak historiography, it represents the first attempt to approach this issue. It is intended for academic circles, students of history and political science, and those interested in the internal political development in Russia during the Civil War and the lives of Russian emigrants in the interwar period.
