And so, while a sinister whisper, often a harbinger of bad times, echoes in the treetops, squire Jan Boček from Bočkov ventures into the depths of the woods, where people remain strangers. The captain from Kozí Hrádek is troubled by a red rooster that often perches on the roofs of solitary houses. And in the shadows, the local pests creep – they want nothing more than to murder and loot.
