Hot potato, translated into Czech as teplá brambora, is a typical British dish, while Horké brambory is a typically Czech novella. Although its title sounds somewhat like a cookbook and the theme of cooking, nutrition, and eating indeed runs throughout the text, the more important role is played by the worries and problems of the five main characters, whose daily struggles and topics they must deal with, whether they like it or not, are sometimes so sensitive that people in society tend to pass them around just like the proverbial hot potato. Here, the reader will clearly find recipes for ultra-healthy dishes guaranteed to be sugar-free, as well as various treats and 'warm delights.' They will be served first by Him Whose Name We Do Not Speak (since we usually can't pronounce it well); second by his son, who enjoys cooking hot potato and really doesn't know if he is seriously overweight due to stress; third by Grandma, aka the expert on warm dinners; fourth by Vládík, who is satisfied with a warm sausage or hot dog; and fifth by Nikola. She loves everything green and 'The King is Carrot!' However, it is said that nothing is eaten as hot as it is cooked, so even though the individual heroes often literally have their blood boiling, they still have their way...
