The Douglas DC-3 is undoubtedly a legend in the field of civil aviation, but especially military transport. However, it only became known as the Dakota during its military service, somewhat retrospectively and actually in complete contradiction to its original type designation. The second part of the publication continues the history described in AERU No. 52 and details the service of this aircraft along with its Soviet licensed version, the Lisunov Li-2, in our air force.
