Description
Ownership has been one of the fundamental institutes of private law since ancient times. The modern concept of ownership has its roots in Roman law, which laid the foundations for most of its main attributes. Roman legal science dealt in great detail primarily with the practical aspects of ownership, especially the various ways of acquiring it, which it divided into several types and created specific rules for them. The presented book focuses on acquiring ownership through means other than the transfer of ownership, namely through prescription, accession, processing, mixing, treasure finding, and others. The authors approached the topic in a comparative manner, thus comparing specific acquisition institutes of Roman law with the current civil code.
