Description
The interaction of technological and social changes fundamentally alters social reality. It also reflects on the state and functioning of otherwise rather conservative law. It is therefore not an exaggeration to speak of a groundbreaking time, perhaps the greatest revolution that humanity has experienced. The influences of this significant social reorganization on law are addressed in a book by a collective of authors from the Faculty of Law at Charles University in Prague. It focuses on three areas of issues: the redefinition of traditional legal concepts through the lens of other disciplines, the reflection of social transformation in law, and the implications of technological progress in the field of law. The common intention of the authors was to capture the transformations of law not only globally but also in its various dimensions: in theory, empiricism, and practice.
