Magorské modlitby – Jirous Ivan Martin (2021)

Ivan M. Jirous was not only a spiritual leader of the underground, a prisoner, poet, and madman, but also a great prayer warrior. From Magor's summa, the best spiritual poems are selected and arranged from top to bottom: First, God in three forms – Creator, Redeemer, and Comforter. Then the heavenly hosts or "Catholic pantheon" – angels, the Virgin Mary, "the old saints" and "the new saints," non-canonized (and often non-canonizable). Finally, the one who prays – again in three positions: sinner – rebel – grateful one. These are not just personal prayers of Magor, but Magor's prayers. Specific names and realities can be replaced by each pray-er with their own.
