The illustrated novel trilogy Alois Nebel (Bílý Potok, Hlavní nádraží, Zlaté Hory, expanded with an alternative ending) is published in one volume in a new edition. In evocative black-and-white images, the main character tells stories that continue to influence forgotten events even after several generations. He narrates the stories of seemingly ordinary people on the fringes of society. The tracks will take you everywhere, to Lisbon and Auschwitz, to your own past and to the doubts left by your parents, relatives, and friends. Stories from a century we think is long behind us. Based on the cult comic by Jaroslav Rudiš (text) and Jaromír 99 (illustrations), a screenplay for a feature film was created, which was shot in international co-production using rotoscoping technology. Alois Nebel will be released in Czech cinemas in October 2011.
