A collected edition of non-fiction texts by Zbyněk Hejda. - It includes articles and interviews about literature, history, and visual arts, which were primarily created between 1965–1969 and 1987–1998, mostly at the prompting of magazine editorial boards, to which the author belonged (Tvář, Střední Evropa, Revolver Revue). Genre-wise, the volume consists of monographically conceived, critically focused studies, essays (some of which were originally lectures), reviews and commentaries, direct replies to the works of other writers, speeches at exhibition openings, interviews (some of which Hejda conducted as the questioner), and survey responses. The book contains detailed comments, a bibliography of Z. Hejda's non-fiction work, and an index of names.
