A selection of poems and diary prose by V. Binara (1941-2016). The Head of Heat captures how the poetic visions and poetics of Vladimír Binara were established from the late 1950s and transformed in the following decade. The first part consists of a selection from poetry collections and texts from 1959 to 1968, particularly notable for their rich, luminous, and dark imagery. The second, parallel part, titled Colloquia I, introduces readers to the world from which the imaginative and spiritual form of the author's verses and lyrical prose emerges. The book received the award from the Czech Literary Fund.
