Description
A two-volume monograph of the photographic work of František Drtikol. The text for the book was written by the world-renowned art historian PhDr. Anna Fárová (1928–2010). The publication presents the most comprehensive overview of the most essential and important works created by Drtikol in his photographic oeuvre. The visual material was drawn primarily from the collection of the Museum of Decorative Arts in Prague (which holds the largest collection of Drtikol's photographs in the world) and also from some significant private collections. The book contains 489 photographs in the visual section and 119 photographs in the text section – a total of over 600 photographs. It was printed using frequency-modulated screening Satin Screening by Heidelberg. The book format of 33 x 24.5 cm allowed for the publication of most photographs in their actual size. The two-volume book, including an elegant case, weighs nearly 5 kg. Hardcover with a dust jacket, two volumes.
