In 2023, the second, supplemented and revised edition of the highly sought-after publication "Malting - Theory and Practice of Malt Production" is coming to the book market. ***** The original collective of authors, composed of staff from the University of Chemistry and Technology in Prague, the Malting Research Institute in Brno, the Research Institute of Brewing and Malting, a.s., Prague, and practitioners led by Petr Basař, continues from the first edition published in 2015, which is now out of print and in high demand as a fundamental publication in the field. Given that the development of malt production has continued at a rapid pace since the first edition of the book, the authors have supplemented the individual chapters with current information regarding new technologies, equipment, and scientific findings, including references to new sources of information. ***** The book discusses the entire process of malt production, which is the basic raw material for beer production.
