Klub nas***ých rodičů aneb Rozhněvané matky a otcové, spojte se! – Elliottová Mink (2011)

A witty, brilliantly written contemporary novel in which all parents will find themselves, especially those who occasionally (or rather often) feel that they have had enough. Journalist Roxy, currently on maternity leave, is not experiencing the happiest period. She and her boyfriend Jack have moved from London to the countryside with their ten-month-old daughter Joey, but nothing is going according to plan. Incompetent craftsmen are wreaking havoc in their home, the locals are not particularly friendly, Jack is almost always away from home, and Roxy is mostly alone with Joey. She is becoming increasingly dissatisfied and irritable, barely managing her role as a mother. If only she had her parents, her old friends, or at least a few kindred spirits to share her worries with! And from this thought emerges an idea that will change not only her life but also the lives of several other people. How about starting a club where similarly 'afflicted' parents could regularly meet and recharge their energies? And so one day, the first invitation to the MEETING OF THE ANNOYED PARENTS CLUB appears on the bulletin board at the post office.
