The anthology - The Best of 2008 Dear Santa, I Want a Flamethrower is a literary competition announced by the Chotěboř SF club Avalon since 1997. Its motto is: "Blood, sweat, tears, sperm, and pus - the more disgusting, the better and more joyful." It is participated in by both emerging and renowned authors who are convinced of the unpublishability of their works elsewhere.
