Pozdní host – Nowak Jenny (2008)

After being attacked by a more powerful vampire, Vlad, severely injured, crawls to the rocks and descends deep underground, where he remains in a deathly sleep for almost four centuries. When he awakens, it is the year 1874... After the initial shock of the incomprehensible world that both fascinates and repulses him, he tries to come to terms with the fact that everything has irrevocably changed. With immense effort, he attempts to cope and continue living... In the town of Ploiești, where he finds himself, he meets a local doctor and his sister, but their relationships do not develop as any of them initially imagined... Later, Vlad learns that there are legends in the area about a young witch and her wolf, who allegedly lived on the site of his rocky 'grave' centuries ago, and he concludes that it must have been Rhia, the daughter of his witch friend whom he once visited here. Because he has reasonable suspicion that he could be her father, he longs to uncover the truth, to separate fact from fairy tales, and to find out what actually happened here in the Middle Ages.
