Description
This book opens the door to modern poetry combined with traditional elements of Czech lyric poetry. The shorter poems, representing a cross-section of the author’s work and artistic development, gradually give way to miniature epics containing autobiographical elements from the poet’s life, for whom a forest clearing or a fragrant deer feeder was sometimes his second, and sometimes his first, home. The poet continues along the path first announced in his Manifesto of Genuine Poetry (Tvar, 2002) and further developed in his Poetotherapy (2007). The charm and magical power of the verses are complemented by illustrations made from collages that accompanied the author’s numerous, often fiercely lively performances.
