Less than two years ago, we set sail on the sailing boat IRMA for a journey around the world. We described our experiences from the first leg, which ended in Panama, in the book "Throw Off the Lines." Before us lay the endless waters of the Pacific. Sail with us and our friends Zdeněk and Martin to the Galapagos and French Polynesia. We will share our sailing experiences as well as insights from these remote areas, still significantly untouched by civilization. Sun, song, and dance, blue sea, blue sky. Kind, hospitable, and perhaps even happy people. We were very reluctant to leave Polynesia, but the approaching cyclone season drove us onward. Suwarrow, Niue, Tonga. Each island a little different but similar in one respect. Just like in Polynesia, the living conditions are significantly more modest than in Europe. Life is simpler but above all calmer. The long journey from Tonga brought us to New Zealand. You can travel with us across both main islands. Enjoy the beauty of New Zealand's nature – hot springs, streams, lakes, rivers, and mountains. Walk most of the trails from the so-called Great Walks. The Pacific Islands, especially Polynesia and New Zealand, have truly captivated us.
