Twelve years after the discovery and four years after the departure of one of the authors, a publication dedicated to the detailed processing of the Upper Paleolithic site Braškov I and II is now in the hands of readers. The book is devoted to the earliest history of Braškov, which began to be written an incredible 750,000 years ago. The discovery of the settlement of Upper Paleolithic hunters and gatherers at the foot of the Horka hill occurred during highway construction in 1999. Its discoverer was Jan Fridrich. This site confirms the correctness of the designation of the Přezletice culture as a Central European facies of the Acheulean s.l. in the territory of present-day Bohemia. From the site, heavily affected by post-depositional influences, a large collection of stone flake industry (several thousand pieces of artifacts) made from local flint was obtained, which allowed for the verification of the technological proficiency of the bearers of the Přezletice culture in connection with a detailed typological and morphometric analysis of the found collection of stone flake industry. The results of the processing of the inventory from this site also enabled a significantly better comparison of the Přezletice culture with sites of the same circle in Europe and the Near East.
