Description
The authors of this book are top-notch educators from the University of Economics in Prague, with experience in long-term positions at foreign universities. The publication aims to familiarize the economic public, including students of economic faculties, with the characteristics of the association process and subsequently managing the Czech Republic's membership in the European integration grouping. The authors base each chapter on historical and theoretical context, and further characterize the current state in selected components of the integration process: common trade policy, structural and cohesion policy, common agricultural policy, and the creation of monetary integration. All four chapters of the publication culminate in an assessment of the Czech Republic's position in these segments of European integration. The publication captures in the third chapter the current results of assessments of international competitiveness rankings, including the placement of the Czech Republic.
