Description
The new guide builds on the already published volumes No. 59 Havlíčkobrodsko, No. 50 Jihlavsko and Třebičsko, No. 6 Česká Kanada and Jindřichohradecko, No. 15 Telčsko and Dačicko, No. 50 Táborsko, thus completing our mapping of the very tourist-friendly area of the Českomoravská Highlands. The natural center and starting point for many trips is Pelhřimov, a city heritage reserve with valuable historical buildings. Visitors are also attracted by the unique Museum of Records and Curiosities. Other cities such as Pacov, Kamenice nad Lipou, and Žirovnice are equally attractive. Among the ecclesiastical monuments, we particularly recall the Baroque church and monastery in Želiv, and among technical structures, the narrow-gauge railway from Jindřichův Hradec to Obrataň, which cuts through deep, mushroom-rich forests. For views, we will head to Křemešník, and for swimming, to the reservoirs at Trnávka or Sedlice. The boundaries of the described area are: Lukavec - Křešín - Hořice - highway D1 to Slavníč - Vyskytná - Nový Rychnov - Horní Cerekev - Panské Dubenky - Štítné - Mnich - Křeč - Pojbuky - Lukavec.
