Description
This textbook is primarily intended for students and teachers of secondary schools, but it can also be used as supplementary teaching material in language schools, during post-secondary studies, or in preparation for international language exams and entrance exams for universities. It is designed for anyone who wants to master or simply review certain aspects of German grammar. This textbook is published simultaneously with 'German – An Overview of Secondary School Grammar.' Both books are based on the Catalogs of Requirements for the German Language for the new format of the Maturita exam approved by the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports of the Czech Republic. The overview and the grammar workbook correspond closely in content and chronology of the topics covered, but they intentionally do not match completely in every aspect. For example, the workbook emphasizes those grammatical phenomena that are more challenging for students, at the expense of topics that do not require practice (such as interjections). However, the structure of both books is identical except for minor exceptions, which facilitates working with them and navigating through them. The aim of this publication is to practice specific phenomena of morphology and syntax, which are theoretically explained in the grammar overview. Often, the grammatical phenomenon is presented in continuous text, allowing for practice on it...
