The Russian Orthodox Church is the largest of the Orthodox Church communities. Its influence extends beyond the borders of the Russian Federation to the territories of Ukraine, Belarus, Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, Moldova, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan; many parishes are also located in Western Europe and the United States.
