In his book The Decline of the Idea of Progress, sociologist and philosopher Zdzislaw Krasnodebski embarks on reflections about the idea of progress from a rather unique perspective - he primarily emphasizes a systematic approach to this idea, drawing particularly from the concepts of Immanuel Kant, Max Weber, and Jürgen Habermas, as well as their historical, social, and political significance. In an attempt to characterize modern mentality from the Enlightenment to the present, he points to philosophical concepts whose interrelationships are not immediately evident.
