RUINS OF CASTLES, FORTRESSES, AND PALACES - NORTHERN BOHEMIA is the final volume in a series of books about these monuments in our territory. With a length of 388 pages, this book is the most comprehensive of all previously published volumes. We present, through several hundred photographs, 84 locations from this extraordinarily extensive and intricate part of our homeland. In addition to color photographs that document the current state of the monuments in a documentary manner, the individual chapters (as in the previously published volumes - Central Bohemia, South Bohemia, West Bohemia, and East Bohemia) are supplemented with quality pen drawings of material reconstructions, plans, diagrams, and of course, an expert text on history, architectural development, and descriptions of access. The entire text has been translated into English for foreign readers.
