This is a complete set of 108 cards, whose content is based on Nepustil's method and maps the material contained in the English course for slightly advanced learners (Level 3, pre-intermediate). On the cards, you will mostly find two sentences with mirrored translations for grammatical contrast (e.g., Has it been found? – When was it found?), or as a conversational mini-block (e.g., Could you pick her up? – What time should I be there?). You won't find any isolated words here. These cards should help you learn useful sentences or phrases that we use in our drill exercises. The material on the cards is arranged so that similar difficulty or topics are contained in one octet – that is, eight cards with the same symbol, e.g., 8x king. As the value of the cards increases, so does the difficulty of the material. You can use the cards not only as a teaching aid but also as regular playing cards for joker or canasta, or you can play some of your own language games with friends. The motto for learning is 'better short, intense, and frequent than once in a while and long.'
