Description
The idyllic island of Skejo somewhere in the Baltic. Although it is only a stone's throw from Sjalland and the capital city of Copenhagen, it is a world unto itself. Nature awakens to life, but death is lurking in the local retirement home. Several pensioners die under suspicious circumstances. Rumors and fear begin to spread across the island. Fifty-six-year-old journalist Karin Sommer arrives in Skejo to escape from stress and is determined to write a book about the witch hunt. However, the disturbing whispers awaken her curiosity. The mysterious deaths need to be unraveled. The island of Skejo is a miniature copy of today's world, inhabited by a colorful mix of human types. The author has managed to combine a thrilling detective story with a number of current themes, whether it be euthanasia or religious fanaticism.
