Today we have German 1. - Volume 5 is a proven and now newly modernized textbook. It is clearly intended for students whose native language is Czech, which especially in the initial volumes provides a suitable support for acquiring language skills and orientation in a foreign language environment, something that parents will also appreciate. Moreover, the keys to the exercises, included in the methodological guide, allow parents to check the students' knowledge. The consideration of the native language is very pronounced and permeates the entire curriculum. It utilizes both the positive transfer of knowledge from the native language to the foreign language and consistently focuses on overcoming typical mistakes that students make in German under the influence of Czech. An exceptionally important aspect here is the rich supply of exercises that build on each other in graduated sequences, thus creating the prerequisites for gradually integrating language knowledge into communicative skills.
