Description
This Czech-language practice workbook teaches Czech words with i and y by first introducing the concepts of related words and word forms, followed by word roots, prefixes and stems. Unlike approaches that present a long list of selected words to memorise, it uses a shorter, easier-to-remember list and encourages children to understand the connections between listed words and related words. This helps them work out the spelling of words that are not included in the list and ask more informed questions about how words are related. The method gives pupils the opportunity to understand and practise these relationships while learning the relevant spelling rules, rather than simply memorising isolated examples. The sample includes several model pages.
