Description

The study of psychoanalysis led the author of the publication to record his dreams, which he analyzed. The collection of dreams spans a period of thirty years and follows the impressive tradition that 'oneiric' literature has in both world and Czech literature. Notable figures include Jindřich Štyrský, Jakub Deml, Jan Weiss, and Karel Jaromír Erben. Many of the dreams mentioned have a strong hermetic subtext, and as the author himself writes, '...I made no distinction between whether this or that dream came to me through the gate of horn or the gate of ivory. I excluded only those dreams that bore the unmistakable seal of having come through the gate of bullock. That can happen to anyone sometimes...'. Although several dreams have already been published (e.g., in the magazines Svět magie, Horus, or in the book Magie), the reader will find more than sixty additional dreams containing hermetic teachings and poetic inspiration.
