German for children aged 5-9. The textbook Ene mene 1 is intended for beginners, specifically for first-grade students. Students become familiar with the sound and partially graphic form of the German language. They acquire communicative foreign language skills in phonetics and a minimum of vocabulary. In the area of productive and receptive activities, they develop speaking and listening with comprehension. Based on audiovisual reception, students practice reading techniques in a foreign language. The student textbook also serves as a workbook and is enriched with an attachment summarizing the curriculum for the first grade, known as a portfolio. An essential part of the set consists of cassettes or CDs that contain phonetic exercises, songs, rhymes, and counting songs narrated by native speakers (both adults and children) and relaxing music. The entire set is guided by puppets Lisa and Jens.
