German for children aged 5-9 years The textbook Ene mene 1 is designed for beginners, students in the 1st grade of elementary school. Students become familiar with the auditory and partially graphic form of the German language. They acquire communicative foreign language skills of phonetic and lexical minimum. In the area of productive and receptive activities, they develop speaking and listening with understanding. Based on audiovisual reception, students practice reading techniques in a foreign language. The student textbook also serves as a workbook and is enriched with an appendix summarizing the curriculum of the 1st grade, known as a portfolio. The teacher's book also serves as a methodological guide, containing inserted sheets with methodological suggestions for each lesson and appendices – instructions for classroom work, thematic vocabulary, and alphabetical German-Czech and Czech-German dictionaries. The teacher's book is supplemented by separate colored and black-and-white visual appendices, a list of songs including sheet music, and a transparency for an overhead projector.
