The didactic processing of the textbook 'Time to Talk' offers the application of various methodological approaches and forms of work (individual work, pair work, group teaching, frontal teaching), which contribute to creating a positive relationship to learning and encourage active participation of students in lessons. The textbook introduces students to everyday life situations and familiarizes them with the realities and culture of English-speaking countries. The textbook has been approved by the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports of the Czech Republic for inclusion in the list of textbooks for secondary schools as part of a comprehensive series of textbooks for the subject of English language. The first part of the textbook is divided into 11 lessons (lessons 6 and 11 are review lessons) and provides material for 120 to 140 hours of teaching. It is intended for beginners and leads to mastering the basic verb tenses (present simple and continuous, past simple and continuous, and future simple) and other key phenomena. The total vocabulary consists of approximately 800 words related to common topics of everyday communication. The textbook also includes a workbook that contains supplementary exercises on pronunciation, spelling, vocabulary, and grammar. The textbook is based on the rules of British English, both in terms of grammar and in terms of pronunciation and spelling.
