Description
Philosopher Petr Rezek here focuses his attention on sculpture. The starting material for his analyses consists of works by American minimalist sculptors – he demonstrates on them what plasticity is and how it differs from the plasticity of sculptures in European classical sculpture. He follows the methods used by Zdeněk Palcr, Miloslav Chlupáč, Karel Nepraš, and Stanislav Podhrázský, presenting them as different approaches to plasticity. The author has dedicated over twenty years to the issue of plasticity and presents his investigations in eleven studies here. The book contains the complete bibliography of the author.
