Description
A fantasy novel consisting of four stories about Bruno Zweig, nicknamed Bruncvík, set in both Bohemia and Poland and Russia. The life of knight Bruncvík is by no means monotonous; he occasionally finds himself in the wrong place at the wrong time, leading to the antics of Prague apprentices embroiling him in a murderous conspiracy. Even a meeting with a friend at a rural inn or accompanying a Czech noblewoman can take an entirely unexpected turn. And the first visit to a new estate? That too turns into a nightmare. Bruncvík is not alone; his strict father Stillfred, the royal alchemist and wizard Rolland, or his friends often help him out. His knowledge of the Old Language, which allows him to receive assistance from fairies, strygas, dwarves, and other ancient beings, can come in handy.
