Description
The title Down the Váh and Down the Nitra by Bicycle is intended for lovers of cycling and rivers. The picturesque journey down the Váh was described as early as the 19th century by Alojz Mednyanský, but not from the saddle of a bicycle. The author Eva Dučaiová offers a 500 km long route down the Váh, from the source of the Black or White Váh to its mouth into the Danube, divided into seven days. In addition to the cycling journey down the Váh, the author has also included a route down the Nitra River, allowing cycling enthusiasts to cover nearly 260 km over the next four days and discover our fourth longest river. Cycling journeys along the rivers – 14 cycling routes along the Váh and Nitra rivers • tips and interesting facts along the routes • colorful photographs • panoramic photographs • route profiles • itineraries and elevation profiles • map excerpts with marked routes.
